Participants of the motor rally around the Caspian Sea will visit Turkmenbashi and Ashgabat


The first ten-day motor rally "Caspian - Sea of Friendship", designed to strengthen good-neighborly relations with the Caspian countries, started on April 1 in the Astrakhan region. The President of Russia supported the idea of the motorcycle rally and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the governor of the Astrakhan region Igor Babushkin led the action, TASS reported.

The Astrakhan governor and activists of the motorcycle movement will overcome the road with a length of almost 5 thousand kilometers on motorcycles in ten days. The run will end on April 11. On April 2, they arrived in Atyrau, Kazakhstan.
A column of motorcyclists will visit another Kazakh city - Aktau, and then they are expected in Turkmenistan. They will arrive first in Turkmenbashi, and then go to Ashgabat.

Next - Iranian Babolser and Rashte, Azerbaijani Astar and Baku, Russian Kaspiysk. The longest crossing between Atyrau and Aktau will be 905 km, the shortest - between Astrakhan and Atyrau - 360 km.
"We will have official meetings in each state, in Turkmenistan we will meet with the President of Turkmenistan, in Azerbaijan with the Prime Minister, in Kazakhstan with the akims of the regions, in Iran with the governors of the regions that are located on the coast of the Caspian Sea. We will discuss issues of our Caspian cooperation everywhere," Babushkin said.

Due to its access to the Caspian Sea, the Astrakhan region plays an important role in the system of international routes. The region is located at the intersection of two Eurasian transport routes - the North-South corridor and the West-East corridor. In this regard, the entire transport and logistics complex, including the port infrastructure, is intensively developing in the Astrakhan region. The Logistics Center of Turkmenistan will also be located in the port special economic zone "Olya".
