Turkmenistan summed up the results of the country component of the project STRIVE Asia


Turkmenistan summed up the results of the country component of the global project "Strengthening resistance to violent extremism in Asia (STRIVE Asia). The EU-UN Joint Partnership", which is funded by the European Union.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the progress made in the framework of the project. In particular, activities aimed at building the capacity of national partners to raise awareness in the designated area, providing consulting support to young people were considered.
The participants also presented their experience in the development of digital and interpersonal skills among young people, their participation in innovative projects.
In this regard, representatives of the public organizations "Yenme" and "Eco Durmush" presented the results of activities within the framework of grant projects in Ashgabat, Dashoguz and Tejen.
The country component of the global project Strive Asia, launched in 2020, was aimed at strengthening the resilience of local communities by supporting public initiatives to prevent violent extremism (VEP) and supporting the efforts of the government and public organizations in achieving goals related to VEP.
The final meeting was attended by representatives of relevant ministries and departments, the Mayor's office of the capital, public organizations, the private sector of the country, as well as young ambassadors of the SDGs.
