Minsk announced a number of topics to be discussed by the heads of government of the CIS countries in Sochi


A joint meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the Commonwealth Member States under the statutory and other bodies of the CIS and the Commission on Economic Affairs under the CIS Economic Council was held on Thursday, March 30, in Minsk. The meeting, which was held in a hybrid format, was attended by CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev.
Among the main topics discussed by the participants of the meeting was the formation of a draft agenda for the next meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS, scheduled for June 8 in Sochi. 15 questions are submitted for consideration by the heads of government. Among them is an exchange of views on topical areas of economic cooperation, on the Agreement on Free Trade in Services, the establishment, activities and investments, on the Concept for the Development of Industrial Cooperation of the CIS States until 2030, on holding the Spartakiad of the Commonwealth countries among children with disabilities. The meeting participants will also make decisions regarding the appointment of deputy heads of the CIS Antiterrorist Center.
At the meeting in Minsk, they also analyzed the preparations for the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS, which will be held on April 14 in Samarkand. The ministers will discuss international issues and cooperation in the CIS format, the creation of a basic organization for the training and retraining of highly qualified journalistic personnel.
The Council of Permanent Plenipotentiaries approved the candidacy of CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev as head of the CIS Observer Mission at the referendum on the draft Constitutional Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan scheduled for April 30.
