The foreign ministers of the Central Asian countries and the Russian Federation will hold a meeting on Afghanistan in Samarkand


On April 13, in Samarkand, the foreign ministers of the Central Asian countries of the CIS and Russia will take part in a ministerial meeting on Afghanistan, CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev said in an interview with journalists in Minsk.
"They will be joined by representatives of the border states of Afghanistan. These are the foreign ministers of China and Pakistan. This indicates that the CIS continues to work closely with other regional organizations and other countries to resolve many international problems," Lebedev stressed.
According to him, this meeting will take place on the eve of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS countries, which will be held on April 14 in Samarkand. Lebedev noted that most of the ministers confirmed their agreement to come to the meeting in Samarkand.
