Turkmenistan took part in the meeting within the framework of the Almaty process


Representatives of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan took part in an online meeting of senior officials of the Almaty process, according to the website of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan.
Having reviewed the progress made in the framework of cooperation, the meeting participants discussed the policy and strategic directions of partnership for 2023-2024. During the meeting, the need to involve regional partners in the field of migration management was noted.
The Almaty Process, established in 2013, is a regional intergovernmental consultative mechanism for the protection of refugees and international migration in Central Asia. The process promotes ongoing dialogue and exchange of information on migration and refugee protection issues in Central Asia and the region. To this end, technical expert meetings, meetings of senior officials, ministerial conferences and regional thematic discussions are held.
