The national team of Turkmenistan will perform in the Cup of Sambo Founders in Moscow
The national team of Turkmenistan will perform in the Cup of Sambo Founders, which takes place on March 24-27 in Moscow. For the upcoming tournament, the composition of the Turkmen delegation was formed by 27 people, including 24 athletes.
Athletes from Russia, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Armenia, China, Tajikistan, and Morocco also take part in the tournament.
The program of the tournament includes fights in sambo and combat sambo among men in the weight categories 58 kg, 64 kg, 71 kg, 79 kg, 88 kg, 98 kg and over 98 kg, as well as among women in the weight categories 50 kg, 54 kg, 59 kg, 65 kg, 72 kg, 80 kg and over 80 kg.
The Cup for the Founders of SAMBO is named after Anatoly Kharlampiev, Vasily Oshchepkov and Viktor Spiridonov, who are considered the founders of this sport.
As it became known to ORIENT, in the period from March 10 to March 23, Turkmen athletes held training camps in the Russian city of Kstovo, famous for its World Sambo Academy.
