Members of the CIS observer mission visited polling stations in Ashgabat
As part of the monitoring of the preparation and conduct of the elections of deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan of the seventh convocation, the head of the CIS observer mission, CIS Secretary General Sergey Lebedev and members of the delegation visited the electoral participants of Ashgabat, the press service of the Commonwealth reports.
At polling station No. 84 in school No. 29, observers talked with members of the precinct election commission. At polling stations No. 42 at the Oguz han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan and No. 31 at the Aman Kekilov Ashgabat Pedagogical School, the mission members got acquainted with the process of preparation for parliamentary elections in the country, the readiness of polling stations for the voting procedure.
Sergey Lebedev, in turn, spoke about the tasks of the mission, which consist in collecting reliable information about the stages of the election campaign and preparing on its basis an objective conclusion about the compliance of the election process with national legislation.
