President of Uzbekistan visited the new "Ashgabat" Park in Tashkent
On the Independence Day of Turkmenistan, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyeev got acquainted with the construction of the Ashgabat Park in Tashkent. The opening of this facility is planned for the late autumn of 2017 and is one of the results of twinning relations between the capitals of the two states.
The unique color of the Turkmen capital is guessed in the architectural appearance of the park. At the entrance visitors are greeted by an unusual fountain, above the water surface of which are statues of golden Akhal-Teke horses. From under the hoofs of proud horses water gurgles, creating the illusion of impetuous movement.
Passing through the snow-white arch, decorated with national ornaments, guests get to the picturesque territory of the park. On its green lawn bright flowers are planted in the form of eight-pointed stars.
One of the most memorable buildings in the park, which can be seen in the video presentation is an amphitheater in the form of a hovering falcon. This image was borrowed by the architects from one of the main symbols of Ashgabat - the capital's International Airport.
It should be reminded that earlier in Tashkent a bas-relief of the great Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli was opened. In March of this year, during the visit of Shavkat Mirziyeev to Turkmenistan, a monument to the first president of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov was opened in Turkmenabat, and one of the streets of the city was named in his honor.
