Head of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov takes part in the OTS summit


Head of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, takes part in an extraordinary summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), held by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the topic "Disaster Management and Humanitarian Aid".
The summit, which is taking place on Thursday in Ankara, is also attended by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Kazakh President Kassym Zhomart Tokayev, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Ersin Tatar, and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

The leaders were greeted by Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu upon their arrival at the summit venue. In the hall where the meeting will take place, the leaders shook hands with President Erdogan and took pictures.
At the extraordinary summit, which was convened at the suggestion of Azerbaijan to show solidarity with Turkey in the face of the strong earthquakes that occurred on February 6, 2023, issues related to the development of cooperation in the fight against natural disasters and their consequences are being discussed. There will be an exchange of views on issues of the common agenda. Erdogan will hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts.
