Cavusoglu spoke about the supply of additional volumes of gas from the Caspian Sea through TANAP
"We must expand cooperation to TANAP (Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline) It could transport additional natural gas from the Caspian region to the international market," Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said at a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States in Ankara. During this period, when Asia is coming to the fore again, we must increase the share of the Middle Corridor in world trade. A meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTG) is being held in Ankara. The event is taking place within the framework of the emergency OTG summit, which will be held today in Ankara on the topic "Emergency management and humanitarian assistance".
The Organization of Turkic States as an intergovernmental organization was founded in 2009. The founding members are Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey. Uzbekistan became a full member at the 7th summit, which was held in Baku in October 2019. At the 6th summit of the Organization in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan, in September 2018, Hungary received observer status. Turkmenistan joined the Organization as an observer member at the 8th Summit in November 2021, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus did the same in November 2022.
