The Turkmen delegation took part in the meeting of specialists of the customs services of the region, which took place on March 14 in Baku. The meeting was devoted to the discussion of the project to simplify the transit customs procedure for the Trans-Caspian International Middle Corridor East-West on the principle of "one window".

In order to help increase the attractiveness of the corridor, the customs services of the participating countries are taking important steps towards simplifying customs operations based on digital solutions, speeding up border crossing.

In order to ensure reliable and secure electronic exchange of transit data on the principle of "one window", it is planned to create a Single transit portal, which will create conditions for simpler and more flexible customs operations. An action Plan has also been prepared for the development and implementation of rules for simplified transit along the Middle Corridor and a draft Protocol of the meeting of heads of customs services has been agreed.

It was stated that the steps to be taken towards simplifying the transit customs procedure along the Middle Corridor, where joint regional projects are being implemented in all directions, as well as on the organization of customs work, will stimulate the strengthening of cooperation, exchange of experience and information.
