Turkmenistan and Kenya have established diplomatic relations


Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kenya have established diplomatic relations, the press service of the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the UN reports.
A joint communique on the establishment of diplomatic relations was signed on March 14 in New York by the Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN, Aksoltan Atayeva, and the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kenya to the UN, Martin Kimani.
During the negotiations before the signing ceremony, the parties expressed their commitment to strengthening friendly relations between the two countries and improving mutual political, economic and cultural dialogue.
Noting the importance of cooperation in international organizations, the Permanent Representatives discussed issues on the UN agenda of interest to both Turkmenistan and Kenya.
