Gazprom will sponsor the tournament with the participation of the national team of Turkmenistan

The Russian multinational energy company Gazprom will sponsor the championship of the Football Association of Central Asian Countries, Metaratings reports.
The tournament will be attended by the member countries of the Football Association of Central Asia: Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan.
The Russian national team has confirmed its participation in this tournament. In addition, it is planned to invite one of the Asian national teams.
The championship is scheduled to be held from June 9 to 21 in Bishkek and Tashkent.
According to the regulations, the eight teams will be divided into two quartets of four teams each. The winners of the two groups will meet in the final. The teams that became the second in their quartets will compete for the third place.
In February 2022, the International Football Federation and UEFA excluded Russian national teams and clubs from the draws of international tournaments. On December 30, the RFU created a working group to familiarize itself with the transition process from UEFA to the Asian Football Confederation.
