Turkmen karate players are taking part in the second stage of the Karate1 Series An international tournament, which started on March 10 in Konya (Turkey).

The composition of the Turkmen delegation was formed by 15 people, including 11 athletes.

Karate 1 Series A competitions are attended by karate players ranked 33rd and below in the world ranking of the World Karate Federation (WKF). The tournament grants the right to improve positions in the WKF ranking, giving the opportunity to break into the Karate 1 Premier League.

The Konya Championship brought together over 1,000 athletes from 76 countries. The hosts from Turkey represent the largest team of 187 participants.

The next stages of the league will continue in Vancouver (Canada), Larnaca (Cyprus) and Matosinhos (Portugal).
