Turkmen chess players perform at the International Chess Tournament in Tashkent

Turkmen chess players are taking part in the Women's Chess Championship International Chess Tournament, which started on March 5 in Tashkent (Uzbekistan). ORIENT was informed about this by the Chess Federation of Turkmenistan.
The Turkmen national team was formed by: Jemal Ovezdurdyeva, Ayshe Gubatayeva and Jennet Durdyeva.
The tournament will be held in two groups among women according to the Swiss system in 9 rounds:
— main group A – participants with a rating of 1500 and above;
— Group B – participants with a rating of 1499 and below.
Chess players from Turkmenistan compete in group A. The total prize fund of the championship is 50,000 US dollars. The tournament will end on March 12.
