The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the President of Tajikistan discussed new areas of cooperation


The increase in cargo transportation, the creation of industrial enterprises and the use of transport corridors of Turkmenistan were discussed in Dushanbe by the Head of the Turkmen MFA Rashid Meredov and the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
Meredov headed the Turkmen delegation in Dushanbe, which arrived to discuss topical issues of cooperation with Tajik colleagues, the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reports.
The key issues at the talks were also the intensification of the work of the intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation, the strengthening of inter-parliamentary ties and the activities of the Trade Council.
The parties noted the need to hold joint international conferences, festivals, symposiums and organize meetings of creative workers of the two countries.
A special attention was paid to the discussion of cooperation within the framework of international structures.
