MFA: the President of Turkmenistan will pay a visit to Dushanbe in the first half of April


The preparation of the upcoming state visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Dushanbe, which is scheduled for the first half of April, was discussed by the MFAs of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
Rashid Meredov held talks with his Tajik counterpart Sirodjiddin Mukhriddin on Wednesday, during which issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed, the website of the Tajik Foreign Ministry reports.
The Ministers also touched upon the issues of preparation for the Fifth Anniversary Consultation Meeting of the heads of Central Asian states, which will be held in September this year, and the next meeting of the Council of the Heads of the Founding States of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea.
Rashid Meredov headed the Turkmen delegation, which included high-ranking officials of the Central Bank, the Ministry of Education, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
As it was noted, the negotiations were held in a trusting and constructive atmosphere. They discussed the current directions of Turkmen-Tajik cooperation.
Rashid Meredov is also scheduled to meet with the head of the Republic Emomali Rahmon today.
