The Silk Road Rally Raid in 2023 is open to riders from all countries - Chagin


Silk Road Rally Raid this year will be open to riders from all over the world. The organizers have started collecting applications and negotiating with the participants, the head of the Silk Road Rally Vladimir Chagin told TASS.
"We are waiting for all riders from all countries, come and participate, we will be glad and hospitable. We are already collecting applications, negotiations are underway with the participants, we are waiting for everyone," Chagin said.
The competition will be held from July 6 to July 15, 2023, the route will pass through 13 subjects of the Russian Federation.
"For the first time, the route includes regions that are located in our most beautiful Ural Mountains, this is the Orenburg region, this is the Chelyabinsk region. And we will show the participants – both Russian and foreign – the new beautiful territory of our country, this is one of the main tasks of our project," Chagin said.
The Silk Road Rally is a motorsport competition of the highest category of difficulty, the race has been held since 2009. The rally-raid route passed through the territories of Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Turkmenistan.
In total, the length of the race this year will be ten days, during which time participants will have to overcome 5230 kilometers. Of these, 2,350 kilometers will be high-speed special stages, most of them will take place on a mixed surface. The length of the assistance route will be 3,800 kilometers.
The 2023 Rally Program:
February 15 – The start of accepting applications for participation
June 01 – The deadline for accepting applications
July 5-6 – Administrative and technical inspections, (Kazan, Tatarstan, Russian Federation)
July 6 – Ceremonial start in Kazan
July 6-15 – Nine stages on the territory of Russia
July 15 – Grand finish in Moscow
