Representatives of the CIS member States discussed the use of airspace


A meeting of the Council on Aviation and the Use of Airspace was held in Moscow, the press service of the CIS Executive Committee reports.
Having positively assessed the results of the work done over the past year, the meeting participants outlined further steps to improve the activities of the Committee and expand international cooperation in the field of civil aviation.
The meeting was attended by plenipotentiary representatives of all States parties to the Agreement on Civil Aviation and on the Use of Airspace - Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
The meeting was chaired by the Plenipotentiary Representative of Russia to the Council on Aviation and the Use of Airspace, Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia Igor Chalik.
Among its main tasks of the Council are the formation and implementation of a policy in the field of civil aviation and international air services, consideration and approval of interstate decisions in this area, development and coordination of a common policy in the field of aviation tariffs and air navigation fees.
