Tambov Region seeks closer relations with Turkmenistan


The representative of the Tambov region to the Russian government, Murat Grigoriev, stated the desire of the region to establish comprehensive cooperation with Turkmenistan.
He announced such readiness at a meeting with the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Russia Batyr Niyazliev, the official website of the Turkmen diplomatic mission reports.
At the same time, the range of bilateral cooperation has a wide potential and affects agriculture, industry, services, science, education and other areas. This partnership should become an important component of the strategy of Turkmen-Russian interstate cooperation.
Following the meeting, the authorized representatives agreed to continue steps to establish contacts between Turkmenistan and the Tambov region.
Currently, Turkmenistan closely cooperates with St. Petersburg, Tatarstan, Astrakhan and Chelyabinsk regions within the framework of agreements on direct relations with the subjects of the Russian Federation.
