The Russian Chess Federation joined the Asian Chess Federation

The Asian Chess Federation (ACF) has approved the transfer of the Russian Chess Federation (RCF) to the organization, Alexander Martynov, lawyer of the International Chess Federation (FIDE), told RIA Novosti.

The decision was made on Tuesday at a meeting of the ACF General Assembly.

The RCF Telegram channel reports that 29 delegates voted for the organization's entry into the ACF, one voted against, and six abstained. Officially, the RCF will become a member of the ACF from May 1.

Previously, the RCF received permission to move from Europe to Asia from the FIDE board.
