The Ambassador of Guatemala is accredited in Turkmenistan
Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Gulshat Mammedova received credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Guatemala Jairo David Estrada Barrios on Monday.
On behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the Speaker of the Parliament congratulated the diplomat on his appointment and wished him success in his noble mission.
Guatemala is the northernmost of the Central American republics, covering an area of 108,899 square kilometers. It borders Mexico to the north and west, Belize to the east, El Salvador and Honduras to the south and southeast. In the east, Guatemala has a narrow access to the Caribbean Sea, where one of the main ports of the Caribbean coast in Central America, Puerto Barrios, is located; the southern coast of the country is washed by the waters of the Pacific Ocean for 240 km.
