The city of Arkadag was visited by a UN technical mission for review and evaluation
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting of deputy heads of ministries and departments of the country with representatives of the UN technical mission and its units to visit, review and evaluate the development of the new administrative center of the Ahal region - the city of Arkadag.
Deputy Foreign Minister Mahri Bashimova expressed gratitude to the guests from the UN and its structures for accepting the offer to visit the city of Arkadag, to get acquainted with the implementation of the "smart city" concept in this project.
The representatives of the UN technical mission who spoke highly appreciated the city of Arkadag and noted that the constructed facilities meet advanced standards, meet the requirements of environmental friendliness, safety and modern standards of manufacturability, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to provide elements of the roadmap for the implementation of the recommendations made during the technical mission, the report says.
