Turkmenistan supports the creation of an extensive, complex, combined transport infrastructure in Eurasia with access to the terminals of the Black Sea and Baltic regions, South, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.

This position was voiced by the Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN Office in Geneva Atageldi Haljanov during the 85th session of the Inland Transport Committee of the Economic Commission for Europe at the organization, the website of the "Turkmenavtoulaglary" agency reports.

During the event, at which Turkmenistan's opportunities in the transport sector were noted, the role of transport in the recovery of the world economy after the COVID-19 pandemic was formulated.

In this context, the Turkmen delegation called for the formation of integrated transport, transit and logistics systems in Central Asia and the Caspian basin.
