Tourists from Turkmenistan can travel to Oman by e-visa
The Sultanate of Oman has eased the visa regime for 25 countries, according to a press release from the Royal Police.
From now on citizens of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Albania, Uzbekistan, Iran, Panama, Bhutan, Bosnia, Peru, Belarus, Turkmenistan, The Maldives, Georgia, Honduras, Salvador, Tajikistan, Guatemala, Vietnam, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Cuba, Costa Rica, Laos, Mexico and Nicaragua can enter the territory of Oman by non-sponsored e-visa, which does not require a guarantor in the country of destination.
This decision was made in accordance with the National Strategy for the Development of Tourism until 2040, according to which the budget revenues from the tourism sector are expected to grow and the annual attraction by 2040 of about 12 million domestic and foreign travelers, compared with the current figures of 2.5 -2,7 million. To this end, more than 14 tourist infrastructure clusters are planned to be created throughout the country.
The new regulations say that applicants must have a passport valid for at least six months, return air ticket and confirmed reservation at the hotel. The one-moth visa costs 20 Omani rials.
Oman is a picturesque country of the Arab world, attracting tourists by its natural resources - mountains, caves, waterfalls, deserts and dunes, oases, sandy beaches of the Indian Ocean. Especially popular destinations are the capital Muscat, Musandam peninsula, resort and beach area of Al-Savadi, Nizwa Fort, coastal city of Sohar.
