The prospects of transport projects connecting Asia and Europe were discussed at the IIR MFA of Turkmenistan
The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ashgabat has become the venue for a scientific and practical conference on the potential of transport and transit projects connecting Asia with Europe, as well as the role of Turkmenistan in these initiatives.
Representatives of various universities and scientific institutions were invited to speak at the lecture, as well as the joint-stock company "Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan", which is directly involved in the implementation of the country's capabilities in the relevant field.
According to the curriculum, representatives of transport and logistics companies regularly meet with IIR MFA students who are studying in the direction of "Transport Diplomacy". Being practitioners, employees of private firms help students better understand the intricacies of their business and share useful tips.
Within the framework of the current conference, special attention was paid to the advantages of transport corridors that pass through the territory of Turkmenistan, the country's strategy for using its transit capabilities, as well as the role of transport diplomacy in solving pressing socio-economic issues.
Special emphasis was placed on the importance of the Program for the development of transport diplomacy of the President of Turkmenistan for 2022-2025, designed to further strengthen the industry and develop international cooperation.
