An earthquake of magnitude 5.3 has occurred in the south of Iran, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).

Aftershocks with an epicenter 113 km northwest of the city of Bandar Abbas were registered at 06:05 UTC. The hearth lay at a depth of ten kilometers.

There is no information about the victims and destruction.
