Turkmenistan summed up the results of the national Sambo championship

The Championship of Turkmenistan in sambo and combat sambo, which was attended by 187 athletes from Ashgabat, Akhal, Mary, Balkan and Lebap regions, has ended in the city of Turkmenabat. Wrestlers competed in seven weight categories. The Championship of Turkmenistan in sambo and combat sambo, which was attended by 187 athletes from Ashgabat, Akhal, Mary, Balkan and Lebap regions, has ended in the city of Turkmenabat. Wrestlers competed in seven weight categories. The names of the winners were published today by the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.

In the team sambo competition, wrestlers from the Lebap region took first place, Ashgabat athletes became the second, and representatives of the Mary region became the third.

Among the capital 's sambo wrestlers , the best were: Niyazmyrat Babekov (in the 64 kg weight category), Abdukerim Garayev (71 kg), Parahat Byashimov (88 kg). From the Lebap region – Arslan Ismailov (58kg), Bahram Bahramov (79 kg), Guvanch Begliev (98 kg) and Dovlet Ismailov (99+ kg).

Among women, the prizes were taken by athletes from the Lebap region: Aziza Nazarova (50 kg), Dinara Ibadullayeva (54 kg), Madina Aydogdyeva (59 kg), Dinara Hallyeva (72 kg), Jahan Muhammedova (80 kg), Maksuda Egemberdyeva (80+ kg) and a representative of Ashgabat – Violetta Krovyakova (65 kg).

Ashgabat wrestlers became the best in the team competition in combat sambo, Lebap wrestlers took the second place, and the team of the Akhal region took the third.

The national champions in combat sambo were: Akhmet Tangryberdiyev (58 kg), Ysmayil Atayev (64 kg), Muhammet Gurbandurdyev (71 kg), Myratdurdy Allanurov (79 kg), Muhammetgurban Mammedov (88 kg) – representatives of the capital's team, as well as Dayanch Taganov (98 kg) and Babajan Ibadullayev (99+ kg) from the Lebap region.

The winners were awarded diplomas of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports, as well as medals of the National Sambo Federation.
