The Ambassador of the Dominican Republic is accredited in Turkmenistan


Ambassador of the Dominican Republic Elvis Antonio Alam Lora presented his credentials to the Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Gulshat Mammedova on Monday. On behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the head of the National Parliament congratulated the diplomat on his appointment and wished him success in his new position.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the possibilities of bilateral cooperation and interaction on the platforms of major international organizations.
The Ambassador was informed about the key aspects of the foreign and domestic policy of neutral Turkmenistan, the processes of transformation in the country, as well as the activities of the national parliament in the legislative sphere.
On the same day, the Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to Turkmenistan (with residence in Ankara) was received at the Foreign Ministry, where he met with Deputy Foreign Minister Mahri Bashimova.
During the talks, the parties' commitment to the development of constructive dialogue in the international arena and mutual support for peace-loving initiatives was noted. The sides also stressed that in order to expand bilateral ties, it is necessary to intensify bilateral visits at various levels.
