Turkmenistan will be represented at the EU-CA Conference on environmental issues
The delegation of Turkmenistan will take part in the 7th High-level Conference "EU–Central Asia" on Environment and water resources, which will be held on February 23-24 in Rome.
Within the framework of the conference, the results of the work of the EU–CA Platform for Cooperation in the Field of Environment and Water Resources for the period from January 2019 will be presented at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, priority areas of the Platform's activities for 2023-2025 will be identified.
The participants will also discuss and agree on practical steps to develop capacity in the field of environmental protection, climate change and water resources in Central Asia.
The meeting will bring together representatives of the Governments of Central Asian countries, the European Union and EU member States responsible for environmental, climate change and water policy, international, regional and non-governmental organizations.
It is expected that the Special Representative of the European Union for Central Asia Terhi Hakala, Member of Parliament, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy Edmondo Cirielli will speak at the event.
