Adaptive sports: Turkmen and American athletes show unlimited possibilities
A stunning, emotional and useful action – the performance of athletes from both countries on the sports ground of the Olympic village – became the culmination of the visit of a delegation of adaptive sports athletes from the United States to Turkmenistan. The visit is organized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy of Turkmenistan and supported by the Embassy of the United States of America in Ashgabat.
Basketball, goalball, table tennis, racing, checkers and chess – this is not a full list of activity of athletes with disabilities. There is no limit. Some of adaptive sports athletes is a long distance runner, while others are interested in horse riding, or in mastering climbing skills.
And it is incredibly inspiring action as it explains us: There are no restrictions There are only opportunities to live, love, develop and create whatever you want to do.
This is exactly what athletes from Turkmenistan and the USA do, who are engaged in the program on adaptive sports development.
