On Sunday, February 19, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the United Arab Emirates, Minister for the Office of the President of the United Arab Emirates.
The head of Turkmenistan welcomed the high-ranking guest who arrived on a working visit at the Ashgabat International Airport, decorated on this occasion with the State flags of the two countries.
During the conversation, it was noted that the Turkmen-Emirati summit talks held in the UAE in November last year became a new round in the development of the traditionally friendly and fraternal dialogue between the two states, expanding cooperation on a mutually beneficial and equal basis.
Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan also noted the importance of the official visit of the Leader of the Nation, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on February 11-12 this year.

It was emphasized that regular high-level talks between the two countries confirm the commitment of the parties to mutually beneficial cooperation.
It was also discussed that the favorable geographical location of Turkmenistan and the creation of a favorable investment climate in the country attract representatives of foreign business, including those from the Middle East. In this context, bilateral mutually beneficial ties are being built up in the trade, economic and fuel and energy sectors, the construction of social facilities, etc.
In recent years, Turkmenistan has been building a multi-vector transport system, expanding the infrastructure of the maritime transport network, and conducting large-scale construction of new automobile, air and rail transport centers and corridors.
Thus, the International Sea Port of Turkmenbashi is one of the largest transport centers of international importance in the East-West and North-South directions and fits into the prospects for creating logistics chains with the ports of the UAE.

As noted during the meeting, among the main areas of partnership is the implementation of joint projects that can become the driving force behind economic cooperation and open up new opportunities for attracting investment, creating innovative industries, and interaction in the banking and financial sector.
