Turkmenistan chess championship among boys and girls starts in Ashgabat
On February 20, the Turkmenistan Chess Championship among boys and girls under 18 starts in Ashgabat.
The tournament was organized by the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Physical Education and Sports together with the Chess Federation of the country.
The specialized school of chess and checkers under the main department of sports of the city of Ashgabat will bring together over three hundred chess players from the capital and five regions.
Chess battles will be held in accordance with the rules of the International Chess Federation according to the Swiss system in nine rounds
The tournament will continue until February 24th. The chess players who demonstrate the best results will be awarded medals and memorable gifts from the tournament organizers.
