Japan intends to promote cooperation with Turkmenistan – Ambassador Yamamoto


Japan intends to further promote exchanges in various areas with Turkmenistan within the framework of the Central Asia + Japan Dialogue. This was stated by the Ambassador of Japan to Turkmenistan Hiroyuki Yamamoto at a reception on the occasion of the birthday of Emperor Naruhito of Japan, according to a press release of the diplomatic mission.
The diplomat also added that the Land of the Rising Sun is ready to continue cooperation with Turkmenistan in the name of peace and stability in the region.
As part of the evening, an exhibition of products of leading Japanese companies, including Itochu Corporation, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Sumitomo Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation and Toyota, a demonstration of the Japanese martial art budo, which is used by samurai, was organized.
Guests were also able to taste the dishes of this Asian country — udon (soup with Japanese noodles made from wheat flour) and mochi — rice cake.
The birthday of the Emperor of Japan is a public holiday in Japan. On February 23, the 126th Emperor Naruhito turns 63.
