Selection for the World Esports Championship starts in Turkmenistan


The National Federation of Electronic Sports of Turkmenistan has announced the start of the tournament for the Federation Cup, which will be the qualifying stage for the World Championship in the esports discipline Dota 2.
The tournament, organized by the National Electronic Sports Federation, starts on February 20. Eight teams will take part in the Championship, which will play the title.
The games will be built into a tournament grid and will be held in Single Elimination BO1 for elimination. The teams that have passed on will compete in the computer arena in Single Elimination BO3 (up to two wins). The championship final will be held in Single Elimination BO5 (up to three wins).
As the National Electronic Sports Federation told ORIENT, the winner of the domestic championship will get the right to represent Turkmenistan in the regional qualification tournament. The team that shows the best result will become the owner of a ticket to the IeSF World Esports Championships 2023 in Iasi (Romania).
The tournament will open with a confrontation between the Nusay Esports and Phoenix teams. The current winner of the Dota 2 Federation Cup is Galkynysh Esports.
