Turkmenistan and the Netherlands discuss cooperation on new platforms within the EU


The establishment of a Business Council and a working group in the field of business and trade will contribute to increasing trade turnover between Turkmenistan and the EU in general, and the Netherlands in particular.
This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Vepa Hajyev during a meeting with the new Dutch Ambassador Andre Carstens, the website of the Turkmen MFA reports.
Special attention was paid to increasing contacts between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries and establishing regular political consultations.
The sides discussed cooperation within the European Union, as well as within the EU – Central Asia format, emphasizing the importance of promoting trade and economic cooperation.
The new ambassador's residence is located in Astana.
