More than 200 events are planned to be held within the framework of the international economic forum "Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum", which will be held on May 18-19. This was announced by the secretary of the organizing committee for the event, the head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina.
Business program of the forum is updated every day — today there are 127 sessions in it, at which issues of international cooperation, technological sovereignty, interaction in the field of finance, tourism, youth policy, sports, medicine and sustainable development will be discussed.
The organizers plan to hold inter–parliamentary hearings in the format of "Russia – the Persian Gulf", sessions "Russia - for the OIC countries", holding bilateral forums with Turkey, Egypt, Indonesia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Malaysia.
One of the sessions of the international forum "My investment Success in Russia" will tell about how investors from Muslim countries work in Russia. It is also planned to discuss the prospects for the development of Islamic banking in Russia.
"This is probably one of the most important sessions that the Central Bank is preparing. The track will be dedicated to partner financing as an alternative to traditional financial instruments," Minullina said.
The secretary of the organizing committee also said that contracts are being signed within the framework of the event, as well as quite specific contracts for the supply of products, and added that Tatarstan intends to link the Islamic world with the regions and enterprises of Russia. For this purpose, a special working group has been formed, which operates on the basis of Tatneftekhiminvest Holding.
Along with business events, the International Halal Industry Exhibition Russia Halal Expo and the International Halal Industry Fair Russia Halal Market will be held these days. It will be a kind of halal market on an area of 20 thousand square meters, a place where dozens of starting brands will be able to declare themselves.
An ethical fashion show is scheduled for May 20, where designers from Islamic countries will present their images.
