Over 500 athletes from 31 Asian countries took part in the competition. Within three days, 26 sets of awards were raffled off.

Turkmen athletes performed in three disciplines. So, Alisher Sadulayev ran a distance of 60 meters in 6.94 seconds. His teammate Mirkhaidar Saparov overcame this distance in 7.02 seconds.

The gold medal in this discipline was won by an athlete from Bangladesh with a score of 6.59 seconds. Shak Kam Ching (Hong Kong) stopped a step away from the first place with a score of 6.65 seconds, Ryota Suzuki from Japan took the third position on the podium (6.66 seconds).

At a similar distance among women, Valentina Meredova became the eighth, showing a result of 7.54 seconds. Another Turkmen athlete, Alsu Khabibulina, ran 60 meters in 8.04 seconds.

In the women's 60-meter race, the Iranian athlete Farzane Fashihi won the championship with a score of 7.28 seconds. Olga Safronova from Kazakhstan took the second place (7.32). Indonesian Valentina Vaneza closed the top three (7.37).

Turkmen athlete Bagrat Hasanbekov demonstrated his skills in the long jump, "flying away" by 7.36 meters, which helped the athlete to take 11th place.

The best among men in the long jump with a score of 8.02 meters was the Taipei athlete Lin Yu Tan. Jeswin Aldrin from India (7.97 meters) stopped on the second line. The third indicator is from Chang Mingkun from China (7.92 meters).

The leader of the team competition was the Japanese national team, which won six gold, five silver and four bronze medals. The second place was taken by the team from Kazakhstan, with six gold, three silver and three bronze medals. The Qatar national team was in third place with two gold, four silver and two bronze medals.
