Fish production is actively developing in all regions of Turkmenistan. One of the fisheries of the Mary region caught more than 270 tons of fish in 2022, the MIR 24 TV channel reports.

The company has been operating since 2018. Fish are caught at a reservoir in the Mary region, where 32 species of underwater inhabitants are found, including white amur, bream, carp, pike perch and chehon. The farm also has its own pond, where employees breed fish artificially.

In general, more than 40 fish farms are currently operating in Turkmenistan. The goods produced by them find their consumers both on the domestic and external markets.
