Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan to speak at the World Government Summit in Dubai


The World Government Summit of 2023 will start on Monday, February 13, in Dubai under the slogan "Anticipating the governments of the future", at which the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan will be among the speakers.
The Forum will bring together 20 heads of state and government, 250 ministers and 10,000 businessmen, government officials, ideological leaders and the most prominent international experts.
The summit, which will last until February 15, includes in its program more than 220 main, interactive and dialogue sessions in which 300 international figures, including presidents, ministers, experts, thinkers and creators of the future, will discuss the most important current and future global challenges, as well as discuss ways to improve the effectiveness of state and institutional functions based on the latest developments and trends in order to help humanity overcome the challenges and problems of reality and move to a better, more developed, prosperous and secure future.
Sessions revolve around 6 main axes, including: the future of societies and healthcare, managing economic sustainability and communications, education and jobs as priorities for governments, accelerating development and governance, exploring new horizons, and designing and maintaining cities of the future.

The events of the first day will be opened by Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Gergawi, Minister for Cabinet Affairs and the Future of the United Arab Emirates and Chairman of the World Government Summit, with a session entitled "10 years of transformation".
Al-Gergawi will also take part in a number of sessions, including a dialogue with Elon Musk, CEO of Twitter, SpaceX and Tesla, in which Musk sheds light on the future of the Twitter platform after its acquisition.
On the first day of the World Summit, Klaus Schwab, founder and President of the Davos World Economic Forum, will also speak at the session entitled "State of the World"; Mokhtar Diop, Director General of the International Finance Corporation; Ngozi Okonjo-Ivala, Director General of the World Trade Organization, Gerd Muller, Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO); Muhammad Suleiman Al-Jasser, President of the Islamic Development Bank Group; Gilbert Hongbo, Director General of the International Labor Organization and many other figures.
Rashid Meredov's speech is scheduled as part of the session "The Way to the Future… Strengthening the influence of governments."
The World Government Summit is an annual event held in Dubai, UAE. It provides a platform for a global dialogue on government processes and policies, focusing on futurism and innovation. The Summit acts as a knowledge exchange hub between government officials, policy makers, analysts and private sector leaders. The first World Government Summit was held in Dubai in 2013 and has been held annually since then.
