Turkmenistan and Turkey discussed issues of simplification of transit and international cargo transportation


Representatives of the Turkish Embassy in Turkmenistan visited the Artyk customs point located on the Turkmen-Iranian state border, the website of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan reports.
Having familiarized themselves with the modern conditions created at the point for the high-quality implementation of customs procedures, members of the delegation and representatives of the State Customs Service spoke in favor of simplifying operations for transit and bilateral international road cargo transportation from the territory of Turkmenistan.
In particular, it was noted the need to use digital TIR Carnets in international road cargo transportation, as well as to provide preliminary information about the transported goods.
The parties positively assessed the results of the application of benefits for Turkish drivers in Turkmenistan as part of the digitalization of the activities of the State Customs Service.
