The oldest oil field in Turkmenistan uses modern equipment
The Gumdag field in western Turkmenistan in 2023 reached the highest levels in 75 years of its industrial development, the "Oil and Gas" newspaper writes. This became possible thanks to the use of advanced technologies in production.
Currently, the Gumdagnebit oil and gas production department is organizing the operation of a whole network of wells where valuable hydrocarbon raw materials are extracted. The department collects all important information about the state of production at the sites.
More than 300 wells of the deposit operate on the basis of the mechanical method of using rocking machines for the extraction of "black gold". In addition, the practice of swabbing, that is, lowering the liquid level, the fountain method and ejector methods are also used.
In turn, the employees of the Gumdag field fulfill the planned production indicators on a monthly basis.
It should be noted that the first inflow of oil at the Gumdag field was obtained at well No. 1 in 1947.
