Changes are needed: the top scorer of the Turkmenistan Football Championship 2022 has changed the club
The striker of the national team of Turkmenistan Didar Durdyyev moved from "Ahal" to the capital "Altyn Asyr". Last season, Ahal won a number of trophies, and the player himself became the top scorer of the national championship, scoring 27 times.
ORIENT contacted the newly minted Altyn Asyr player and found out what goals the footballer sets for himself in the new club and what is the main reason for the transition from Ahal, which is experiencing the peak of sports development.
― For what period is the contract with Altyn Asyr calculated?
― I signed a one-year contract. "Altyn Asyr" is not a foreign club for me, I have played here before (from 2013 to 2015 - editor's note).
― Last season, Ahal won all kinds of trophies and got the right to play in the AFC Champions League. You have become the top scorer of the Turkmenistan Football Championship. And now the news has come about your transfer to the "signalers". Why did you decide to part with "Ahal" at the peak of development?
― Of course, the decision to move to the camp of "signalers" was not easy, since I have been playing for Ahal for a long time. This club has become truly native to me. I am sincerely grateful to this club. Football life is short, and I decided that I needed a change. It turned out to be a very successful year, but life goes on, and I decided that it would be better for my future career.
― Have there been any offers from other clubs? Why did you decide to make a choice in favor of "Altyn Asyr"?
― There were offers from many clubs, including foreign ones. However, I made a decision in favor of "Altyn Asyr", I thought it would be better for me here, next to my family.
― What tasks do you set for yourself in the new club?
― I hope that this year will be successful both for the club and for me personally. I set the highest goals in the new club, namely, to win the championship, the National Cup and go as far as possible in the AFC Cup (the second most important Asian club tournament - ed.).
As for Altyn Asyr, the capital's team has already managed to strengthen its position by acquiring famous football players.
In addition to Didar Durdyyev, the Svyazists were joined by: goalkeeper Resul Charyyev, defenders Hoshgeldy Hojov (both from Akhal), Serdar Annarazov (free agent), midfielder Yhlas Saparmamedov (Kopetdag) and striker Selim Nurmuradov (Akhal).
