Issues of expansion of Turkmen-Chinese partnership discussed in Beijing


The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to China Parahat Durdyev met with the Director of the International Educational College of Xi'an Petroleum University and the Silk Road Energy College Ms. Dong Hao in Beijing. The event was also attended by Deputy Dean of the educational institution Yang Ting, Responsible Representative for General Affairs Sing Shuai.
Noting the rapid development of strategic relations between Turkmenistan and China in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, the parties spoke about the prospects for expanding ties in the field of energy. In this regard, the Turkmen diplomat stressed the importance of training personnel in the field of renewable energy sources for Turkmenistan. In turn, Dong Hao spoke about the work carried out in this area at the educational institution, where 16 Turkmen students are currently studying.
She also added that Xi'an Petroleum University will cooperate with the Yagshygeldy Kakayev International Oil and Gas University in the framework of the "Workshop named after Lu Ban". The program of activities within the framework of the project will be compiled by the end of February.
The parties also agreed to resume the work of the Center for the Study of Turkmenistan, which operates at the university and to hold events within its walls in honor of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly. The library of the educational institution will also be replenished with books about the history of Turkmenistan and the culture of the country. In this regard, the Embassy handed over books by Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in Chinese, Russian and English.
The Diplomatic Mission also organized a friendly reception for the youth of the two countries and the "Lantern Festival in China 2023" in the equestrian complex Shervood, timed to the announcement of 2023 as the year of "Happy Youth with Arkadag Serdar".
On the Chinese side, Honored horse breeder of Turkmenistan Yue Gao Feng, executive director of the equestrian complex Sherwood in Beijing Lun Shu, national champions-riders of China Hadatiye, Doli Kun, as well as media representatives, Turkmen students studying in China took part in the celebrations.
Having informed the audience about the large-scale transformations being carried out in the country for the benefit of youth, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to China urged students to joint scientific research, as well as to be in contact with representatives of the Celestial Empire on this issue.
