Azerbaijan approves economic cooperation agreement with Turkmenistan and Turkey


President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree approving an agreement on trade and economic cooperation with Turkmenistan and Turkey, Trend reports.
Within the framework of the law, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Finance is instructed to ensure the implementation of the provisions of the agreement approved by the heads of the three republics at the Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan-Turkey summit, which was held in Turkmenbashi last December.
Now the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry must notify Ashgabat and Ankara about the implementation of the necessary domestic procedures necessary for the entry into force of the agreement.
Earlier at the trilateral summit, agreements were also reached in the field of trade, transport, humanitarian cooperation and a common commitment to increasing mutual trade turnover was confirmed.
