Turkish Airlines is preparing additional flights to the earthquake-affected province of Turkey


The national air carrier Turkish Airlines is preparing additional flights for the prompt delivery of rescue teams to the disaster zone in the province of Kahramanmarash, where a powerful earthquake occurred. This is reported by the Anadolu agency, referring to the head of the airline's press service.
According to the head of the press service of the national air carrier Yahya Ustyun, citizens traveling to the scene of the accident will be able to return or change the date of tickets for free.
"Turkish Airlines will support its people by all means," Ustyun said, expressing condolences to the families of the victims and wishing a speedy recovery to the wounded.
As a result of an earthquake of magnitude 7.4 with an epicenter in the Pazarcik district of the southeastern province of Turkey, Kahramanmarash, as of 06:30 a.m. on February 6, 284 people were killed and at least 2.3 thousand were injured.
The devastating earthquake was also felt in a number of countries in the region, including Syria, Lebanon, the TRNC, Greek Cyprus and Iraq.
