The OSCE Center in Ashgabat is looking for an international expert on mountaineering


In preparation for the training course for mountaineering instructors, the OSCE Center in Ashgabat will hire an international expert on mountaineering.
An international expert should assist the Center in conducting a four-week training at the Training Center of the State Border Service of Turkmenistan from March 1 to March 28, 2023.
So, under the supervision of the project manager, the candidate must develop a detailed training program for trainers, handouts on the technical safety of participants in the field. Field exercises, especially training in mountainous areas, involve a significant risk to the safety of trainees.
The candidate must also make a test assignment to assess the knowledge of the participants, make presentations about patrolling in mountainous areas, as well as conduct practical exercises in the mountains using appropriate equipment.
A applicant must be a professional employee of the border troops or an employee of other law enforcement agencies, have at least 6 years of experience patrolling in the mountains, conducting training on tactical and technical issues.
The one must also provide a certificate issued by the professional association of Alpine Instructors or another similar international organization.
An international expert in mountaineering should also be fluent in spoken and written English and/or Russian, knowledge of Turkmen or other regional languages will be an advantage, and be in excellent physical state.
