Specialists of the Research and Production Center for Renewable Energy Sources of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan have developed software that will help to build efficient solar and wind power plants in the future. This was told by the director of the center Kakageldy Saryev in a comment for the Turkmen official press.

The digital system helps to quickly and accurately determine the capacity of the future photovoltaic and wind power plants, assess the resources of solar and wind energy in a certain area.

Work in this area continues. Thus, a digital database has been created to assess solar and wind resources by regions of the country, which expands the possibilities for determining the installation location of solar and wind power plants.

Teachers and graduate students-applicants of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan have been studying the possibilities of obtaining energy and the sun for heat supply since 2012. Work is being carried out on a 2 kW solar-wind station and a vacuum solar collector with a useful area of 1.6 m2, which are installed on a two-storey autonomous power supply facility.

Since 2014, engineers in the specialty "unconventional and renewable energy sources" have been trained at the university. It is they who will focus on the design, calculation and operation of devices based on renewable energy sources in Turkmenistan in the future.
