Youth Sports Summit in Sochi
The Summit of Young Professionals in Sports has started on 15 October in Sochi on the sidelines of XIX World Festival of Youth and Students.
During the week, young leaders, specialists of national Olympic committees, public bodies responsible for sports and physical culture, as well as heads and employees of sports organizations from 16 countries will discuss trends in the development of world sports, exchange experience and ideas for the sports events management, meet famous sports persons and eventually, will establish friendly relations.
Afghanistan, Bahrain, Bhutan, Kazakhstan, Cambodia, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Palestine, Russia, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, France, the Philippines sent delegations to Sochi.
The Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Turkmenistan Azat Myradov attended the opening ceremony of the Summit in the main media center of the Olympic Park.
Organizers - the Russian Olympic Committee, International Committee of the Games "Children of Asia", Young Professional Union “Worldskills” (Russia) - hope that the Summit will turn into in the future into the dialogue platform of sports youth with even wider geographical scope.
