Turkmenistan has purchased a batch of electrosurgical medical equipment through UNFPA

The UNFPA representative office in Turkmenistan handed over electrosurgical equipment and aspirators for emergency obstetric care to the Turkmen side. This is reported on the official page of the organization on Instagram.
The equipment was purchased by UNFPA at the expense of the Ministry of Healthcare and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan.
Timely emergency obstetric care is crucial for reducing maternal mortality, the UNFPA publication notes. Standards for the provision of appropriate assistance were introduced in 2012 and are regularly updated.
